Here we highlight author Rebecca Connolly.

Author Rebecca Connolly’s bio from her website:

Rebecca Connolly is the author of more than two dozen novels. She calls herself a Midwest girl, having lived in Ohio and Indiana. She’s always been a bookworm, and her grandma would send her books almost every month so she would never run out. Book Fairs were her carnival, and libraries are her happy place. She has been creating stories since childhood, and there are home videos to prove it! She received a master’s degree from West Virginia University, spends every spare moment away from her day job absorbed in her writing, and is a hot cocoa addict.

Types of books:

Author Rebecca Connolly primarily writes historical romance and historical fiction novels, although I noticed that she’s also part of a multi-author series of baseball romances. I’ll have to see what those are like! Rebecca’s romance novels are “clean and sweet,” meaning that there is no explicit content.

Selected listing of her books:

  • The Spinster Chronicles–A delightful seven-book historical romance series featuring a group of “spinsters” who publish a daring newssheet. By the end of the series, you really know the characters well. Each spinster gets her own “happily ever after.”
  • The Arrangement–An engaging eight-book historical romance series based on a group of men. They share a beautiful friendship. I adore this series. I’m unsure what’s going on, but it appears that some of the books are no longer available on Amazon. The listing on her website doesn’t match the one on Amazon. In any case, I especially enjoyed book two of this series.
  • The London League–A wonderful six-book historical romance series featuring agents of the Crown. I don’t usually get into books filled with intrigue, but I really enjoyed this series.
  • A Brilliant Night of Stars and Ice–A historical fiction work about the sinking of the Titanic. It’s told in dual point of view–one person on the Titanic and another on the ship racing to the rescue. I really love this book. It may be my favorite by her. So good.
  • Under the Cover of Mercy–A historical fiction work set during WWI. It highlights the bravery of a British nurse who helped Allied soldiers escape German-occupied Belgium.
  • Hidden Yellow Stars–A historical fiction work set in Belgium during WWII. It tells the story of two women who hid children from the Gestapo. It’s excellent.
