Here we highlight author Rebecca Connolly. She’s a favorite of mine, and I’m excited to share information about her and her books with you!

A little about author Rebecca Connolly:

Rebecca Connolly has written more than twenty novels and proudly considers herself a Midwest native, having spent years in both Ohio and Indiana. A lifelong lover of books, she grew up with a steady stream of reading material from her grandmother, who mailed her new stories almost every month. Book Fairs were her version of a carnival, and libraries remain her favorite places to be. Rebecca has been crafting stories since childhood, something her family’s old home videos can confirm! She holds a master’s degree from West Virginia University, devotes much of her free time to writing, and has an undeniable fondness for hot cocoa. Learn more from her website.

Types of books:

Author Rebecca Connolly primarily writes historical romance and historical fiction novels, although I noticed that she’s also part of a multi-author series of baseball romances. I’ll have to see what those are like! Rebecca’s romance novels are “clean and sweet,” meaning that there is no explicit content.

Selected listing of her books:

The Spinster Chronicles

A delightful seven-book historical romance series featuring a group of “spinsters” who publish a daring newssheet. By the end of the series, you really know the characters well. Each spinster gets her own “happily ever after.”

The Arrangement

An engaging eight-book historical romance series based on a group of men. They share a beautiful friendship. I adore this series. I’m unsure what’s going on, but it appears that some of the books are no longer available on Amazon. The listing on her website doesn’t match the one on Amazon. In any case, I especially enjoyed book two of this series.

The London League

A wonderful six-book historical romance series featuring agents of the Crown. I don’t usually get into books filled with intrigue, but I really enjoyed this series.

A Brilliant Night of Stars and Ice

In the early hours of April 15, 1912, Captain Arthur Rostron of the Carpathia awakens to a distress call from the Titanic. With little information and miles to go, he races his ship through icy waters, unsure if help will come in time. Meanwhile, third-class passenger Kate Connolly, bound for a new life in America, fights to survive the chaos aboard the sinking Titanic and the haunting aftermath that follows. Told through their alternating perspectives, this novel captures the courage, compassion, and determination of those caught in one of history’s most unforgettable tragedies.

I *loved* this book. Probably my favorite of all of hers.

Under the Cover of Mercy

In 1914 Brussels, Nurse Edith Cavell is torn between duty and conscience as war overtakes her city. Ordered by German authorities to guard wounded Allied soldiers, she instead chooses compassion, secretly aiding the Belgian resistance and helping prisoners escape to freedom. With her friend Lizzie by her side, Edith risks everything to bring hope and healing in the midst of war. Inspired by true events, Under the Cover of Mercy tells the courageous story of a woman whose faith and compassion defied oppression.

Hidden Yellow Stars

In Nazi-occupied Belgium, 1942, schoolteacher Andrée Geulen can’t ignore the fear gripping her Jewish students. When she meets Ida Sterno, a member of the underground resistance, Andrée joins a daring mission to hide Jewish children from the Gestapo. Working under the alias Claude Fournier, she helps move children to safety through secret networks while vowing to one day reunite them with their families. Inspired by true events, this gripping story follows two brave women who risk everything to protect the innocent amid the darkness of war.
